The food scene is expanding in Burlington and vegetarians are past the days of eating a salad at lunch for lack of anything else suitable on the menu. Most establishments have a few vegetarian options at the least and some have their own vegetarian menus. We also have our pick of some completely vegan/vegetarian establishments as well!

Chef’s understand we don’t just want meat removed from a dish, we want a dish actually prepared for us with thought put into how the ingredients go together. Here are a few standout places in town where you’ll get a large choice of amazing dishes:

100% Vegetarian/Vegan Restaurants

Lettuce Love: A large menu you’ll love. Full of vegan takes on your favourite comfort foods like the B.L.A.T. – Coconut bacon, lettuce, avocado and tomato. Add in some thinly sliced carrots and house-made vegan mayo and your taste buds will be thanking you.

Boon Burger: Canada’s first all vegan burger bar also serves pizza, brats, soft serve and sides. Bring your friends and try a little bit of everything because you won’t be able to decide on just one menu item!

More Great Options

Beertown: Great atmosphere, killer craft beers on tap, and a separate menu for you and your carnivore friends. Doesn’t get better than that!

Thai Coconut: Thai food is always a great option when you’re eating vegetarian. Thai Coconut is one of several great options here in Burlington. We like that on top of a veggie section of the menu they also offer lots of veggie appetizers as well as vegetarian versions of their soups. Pintoh in Downtown Burlington is another great spot for delicious thai food.

Paradiso: You’ll love the vegetarian menu at Paradiso. Serving Mediterranean cuisine with a great atmosphere and staff make sure to give them a try!

Rayhoon Persian Eatery: A great place to try something new. Rayhoon serves delicious Persian food with many vegetarian and vegan items on their menu.

Dessert

Kelly’s Bake Shoppe: Imagine walking into a bakery where every delicacy is vegan, gluten free and peanut free. The best part is you can’t even tell!
