Bunch of people sitting at a table.

Who doesn’t love brunch? The thought of taking time out on a weekend to be with friends or family and enjoy a great meal out sounds divine! And Burlington is the perfect spot to enjoy- so many great restaurants, each offering something unique to make your brunch that much more special.

Lettuce Love Cafe
Located in beautiful downtown Burlington and boasts a great variety of options available for brunch- skillets, pancakes, classic breakfasts, smoothie bowls, blender drinks, espresso shots and more.  Try one of their delicious smoothie bowls:

Blue Wave Smoothie Bowl – Made with almond milk, avocado, bananas, blueberries, spirulina and topped with granola, chia seeds, bananas, strawberries and shredded coconut

Jungle Smoothie Bowl – Made with almond milk, spinach, avocado, bananas, agave and topped with granola, bananas, apples, shredded coconut and goji berries

Make a day of it and enjoy a walk along the lake at Spencer Smith Park after your brunch or browse in unique shops throughout the downtown area. Brunch is served weekends from 10 am to 2 pm.

The Water Street Cooker
One of our favorite places for brunch is The Water Street Cooker. If you haven’t been here before, you don’t know what you’re missing with their beautiful lake views and amazing buffet brunch.  Brunch is available on Sundays and reservations should be made in advance. Seating commences at 10 am and are on the half hour with the last seating at 1 pm.  Included in the price is a carving station with prime rib and ham, seafood, salad station, made to order omelettes, a waffle station and lots more! Each adult also gets to enjoy a mimosa included in the price.

Pepperwood Bistro
If live music and a great meal is your thing, then make sure you put the Pepperwood Bistro on your list for brunch!  Brunch is served on weekends from 10:30-2:00 and you can enjoy their breakfast flatbreads, Rise ‘N Shine Tacos, Hang Over Burger or their Brunch Platter for 2 which includes peameal eggs benedict, waffles, sausage, bacon and more!  Every Sunday from 11-3 enjoy live jazz music from Mike Maguire. You may just get so settled in and relaxed that brunch turns into dinner!

Wundeba Restaurant
Just north on Guelph Line is Wundeba Restaurant, a busy restaurant that is open Tuesday-Sunday and closed Mondays.  Breakfast is served 8-11:30 Tuesday to Friday and from 8 am-3pm on weekends.  They offer lots of variety for breakfast including the Classic Breakfast, Steak & Eggs, a large selection of Omelettes, pancakes, french toast and much more!  And conveniently a short walk up the road is Mount Nemo where you can enjoy a hike after to walk off the amazing meal.

Saving Thyme Catering & Patisserie
If you have not tried one of their croissants or scones I kid you not – you do not know what you are missing! They are melt-in-your-mouth delicious and we are glad they  are on the opposite side of town to our office or we would be eating them by the hour.  This is a cute little patisserie with limited seating (but we hear they are expanding!) that is quaint and inviting. They are open Tuesday to Friday 9 am-6 pm and weekends 8am-4pm. Enjoy eggs benedict, seasonal vegetable crepes or their house granola to name a few. Or sit and sip a coffee while indulging in one of their amazing baked goods. Whatever you choose, you can’t go wrong!

Denningers Bitehaus Bistro
This new store that opened at Burlington Mall offers an all-day breakfast menu that includes items like a Hearty Breakfast with 2 eggs, bacon, back bacon or sausage as a side, plus home fries and toast. Other regular breakfast items is their peameal bacon sandwich and western omelette sandwich.

Royal Botanical Gardens
Staring March 3rd, join the Royal Botanical Gardens for their popular Jazz Brunch every Sunday until April 28th. Enjoy a fabulous breakfast in the newly renovated rock garden while listening to your favourite jazz artists, such as the Aaron Bowers Trio and Don Campbell. Should you wish to go to this phenomenal experience, head to their website to make a reservation!
