Dining in Stage 3 in Burlington

Indoor dining at Spencer's at the Waterfront

It’s been a long time since we’ve been able to eat indoors at our fave restaurant. Well good news, as of Friday July 24th, our restaurants can once again open their doors to indoor dining as Burlington enters stage 3 of reopening.

What this means is that restaurants will be able to offer indoor dining, in addition to patio dining and take-out/curbside, with public health and workplace safety restrictions in place. There are new protocols that must be followed to ensure guest and employee safety.

Many restaurants have had to adjust their interior lay-out, to allow for spacing. This means tables may have been removed, or will remain empty, in order to guarantee social distancing measures can take place. As a result, restaurants will operate at a lower capacity. We recommend that you call ahead and make reservations when you want to dine out, to avoid disappointment.

There is a mask by-law in place in the City of Burlington and in Halton Region. Masks must be worn at indoor establishments. As such, diners dining inside a restaurant must wear a mask to their table, and when they are up and walking in the restaurant (ie: to the washroom and back to the door upon exit). Servers and staff will also be wearing masks. Masks may be removed while you are seated at your table and eating/drinking.

If indoor dining in is not the option for you at this time, you can still experience the deliciousness Burlington has to offer, as lots of restaurants offer patios, or many of our restaurants will continue to offer take-out and delivery, or curb-side pick up. Let’s continue to show our restaurants our support, they need it! For a list of restaurants and who has patios or take-out/delivery available, check our blog post.

As we head back out into the world of indoor dining, it is important that we all do our part to keep our community safe. In order to sustain our downward trend of COVID-19 cases, restaurant guests must do their part in being mindful of new safety measures while dining out. Remember to wear a mask when necessary, and be kind to servers and restaurant staff- we are all in this together!    Bon Appetit Burlington!
